SMALLRIG VB50 mini V-Mount aku 3579B

• SMALLRIG VB50 mini V-Mount Battery 3579B

The SMALLRIG VB50 mini V-Mount Battery 3579B provides a convenient power source for photography and film equipment.

Thanks to its variety of ports, it allows you to connect multiple devices simultaneously, such as cameras, monitor screens, video transmitters, and lighting.

The intelligent BMS system ensures stable and safe operation, while the USB-C PD fast-charging technology with up to 45 W of power allows you to fully recharge the battery in just 1.5 hours.

The easy-to-read OLED display makes it simple to monitor the battery status, while the durable housing and compact size make the VB50 ideal for both studio and on-location shoots.

• High-Performance Cells, Stable Power Supply

The SMALLRIG VB50 battery uses high-quality LG 18650 MJ1 lithium-ion cells, each with a capacity of 3,500 mAh.

These cells ensure high performance during charging and discharging, as well as stable operation over multiple charge cycles.

As a result, the battery reliably powers demanding photography and film equipment, providing the energy needed during long photo shoots or video recordings.

The use of high-performance cells has also helped reduce the overall weight of the kit, which is particularly important when working with a handheld camera or one mounted on a grip.

• Fast Charging, Less Downtime

Long waits for the battery to charge don’t have to disrupt your work schedule.

The SMALLRIG VB50 supports bidirectional USB-C Power Delivery fast charging at up to 45 W, allowing it to fully recharge in about 1.5 hours.

An intelligent BMS with a dedicated control system ensures efficient management of this process, supporting multiple fast-charging protocols.

The bidirectional functionality of the USB-C port allows it to be used both to recharge the battery itself and to power compatible external devices.

This is a convenient solution for creators who often work in changing locations and need to quickly prepare their equipment for the next shots.

• Multiple Connectors, Even More Possibilities

A single battery can power various components of a recording setup without the need for an additional V-Mount adapter plate.

The SMALLRIG VB50 is equipped with six interfaces: BP (V-Mount), USB-C, USB-A, D-Tap, DC 8 V, and DC 12 V.

This wide selection of connectors allows for direct connection of compatible cameras, video cameras, monitor screens, video transmitters, video lights, smartphones, and laptops.

What’s more, the individual interfaces have independent circuits, making it possible to quickly charge devices simultaneously via the USB-C and USB-A ports.

This makes it easier to organize power for an extensive film production setup, reduces the number of additional accessories needed, and gives you greater freedom while working.

• Smart Power Management

An advanced BMS (Battery Management System) ensures proper battery operation by automatically adjusting power parameters to current needs.

The intelligent system supports adaptive voltage step-up and step-down as well as current regulation, helping to maintain optimal operating conditions for connected devices.

It also utilizes a specially developed control system that supports multiple fast-charging protocols and efficient energy flow management.

As a result, the SMALLRIG VB50 is ideal for setups that include both film equipment and mobile devices requiring different power specifications.

• Multi-Level Protection During Operation

Equipment safety is particularly important during long recording sessions, which is why the SMALLRIG VB50 is equipped with a comprehensive set of safety features.

The intelligent BMS system protects the battery against short circuits, overheating, current overload, overvoltage, overcharging, and excessive discharge.

This solution helps reduce the risk of cell damage and ensures stable performance during repeated charge and discharge cycles.

Additional protection is provided by a housing made of durable PC plastic, which is characterized by high-temperature resistance, flame-retardant properties, and increased resistance to impacts and drops.

• Full Control Thanks to the OLED Display

Monitoring energy levels and operating parameters is exceptionally easy thanks to the built-in high-brightness OLED display.

The screen allows you to quickly read information about power supply and the current battery status, making it easier to plan the next stages of recording.

Precise parameter monitoring is handled by a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) integrated into the BMS, along with a voltage measurement system that works in conjunction with the main microcontroller (MCU).

This setup enables accurate tracking of the battery’s operating status and displays key data on an easy-to-read screen.

This allows you to monitor available power in real time and respond appropriately to your equipment’s changing needs.

• Compact Design for Mobile Setups

The SMALLRIG VB50 was designed for creators who need a powerful power source without significantly increasing the size of their setup.

Thanks to its highly integrated design, the battery is approximately 30% smaller than comparable models with similar capacity and power.

Its compact dimensions and light weight make it easy to transport, set up, and use in the field.

The compact design is particularly well-suited for use with mobile camera rigs, where every additional component affects ease of use.

You can also easily pack the battery into a camera bag so you always have an extra power source on hand.

• Modern Look and User-Friendly Operation

The SMALLRIG VB50’s functionality goes hand in hand with its elegant design.

A distinctive element on the front panel—resembling a lens and covering about two-thirds of its surface—gives the device a modern look.

Combined with the bright OLED screen, this gives the battery a modern, minimalist look that blends well with professional film equipment.

Operation is made easy by a smart button that allows you to quickly turn the battery on or off and control its operation.

Thanks to its instant response to commands, power management remains convenient even during intense work on set.

• Versatile Support for Creators

Whether you’re shooting videos in a studio, producing outdoor documentaries, or setting up a mobile broadcast station, the SMALLRIG VB50 lets you conveniently manage the power needed for your work.

A variety of interfaces allow you to power many types of devices, while fast charging and an intelligent BMS system help ensure uninterrupted recording.

The compact design makes it easy to build lightweight film sets, and the OLED display lets you constantly monitor the battery status.

It’s a versatile solution for photographers, camera operators, and videographers who want to minimize the number of additional power accessories and organize their work more efficiently.
